Experience the vibrant diversity of the island with the Scenery & Wild Life tour, a comprehensive 05 Nights / 06 Days expedition by Worldlink Tours. This journey takes you from the gentle giants at Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage to the misty heights of Nuwara Eliya, where you will trek Horton Plains to World’s End and explore colonial heritage. Adventure continues in Ella with a hike to Little Adam’s Peak, before descending for a thrilling Jeep safari in Yala National Park. Conclude your trip exploring the historic Galle Dutch Fort and witnessing traditional stilt fishing, perfectly balancing hill country adventures with coastal charm.

Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival & The Gentle Giants

  • Arrive at Bandaranayake International Airport and meet your guide.
  • Transfer to the Elephant Orphanage at Pinnawala (approx. 2 hrs 30 mins).
  • Witness the feeding of elephants at 9:15 AM or 1:15 PM.
  • Watch the river bathing of elephants at 10:00 AM or 2:00 PM.
  • Proceed to Kandy (approx. 1 hr 30 mins) and check into the hotel.
  • Overnight in Kandy.

Day 2: The Hill Country Calls

  • After breakfast, checkout and transfer to Nuwara Eliya (Hill/Tea Country) (approx. 3 hrs 30 mins).
  • Stop en route to visit a Tea Factory, Waterfall, and the Hanuman Temple.
  • Overnight in Nuwara Eliya.

Day 3: Plains, Peaks & Colonial Charm

  • Embark on a morning trekking tour to Horton Plains National Park (approx. 8km trek).
  • Visit World’s End and Baker’s Falls during the trek.
  • In the afternoon, commence a city tour of Nuwara Eliya, visiting Gregory’s Lake, Queen Victoria Park, and the Golf Club.
  • View colonial-era buildings and tea plantations.
  • Optional: Horse riding, pony riding, or boating.Overnight in Nuwara Eliya.

Day 4: Flora, Legends & Little Peaks

  • After breakfast, checkout and transfer to Ella (approx. 2 hrs).
  • Visit the Hakgala Botanical Garden and Seetha Amman Hindu Temple en route.
  • Enjoy a mini trekking tour to Little Adam’s Peak upon arrival in Ella.
  • Transfer to Yala (approx. 2 hrs 30 mins).
  • Overnight in Yala.

Day 5: Wildlife Safari & Coastal Heritage

  • With a packet breakfast, engage in a Jeep safari at Yala National Park around 6:00 AM.
  • Checkout and transfer to Galle (approx. 2 hrs 30 mins).
  • Visit the Galle Dutch Fort and surroundings (UNESCO World Heritage Site).
  • Stop en route to witness traditional stilt fishing in Weligama.
  • Overnight in Galle, Hikkaduwa, or Bentota.

Day 6: Departure

  • After breakfast, checkout and transfer to Bandaranayake International Airport (approx. 2 hrs) for your departure flight.
